In other postings I have mentioned urgent human rights obligations that are still waiting to be responded to: For example in one I mentioned Burma, and in another Haití. In others I have talked about China and Palestine.
Now, President, that you have promised so much, I’m coming back to the subject, especially because you promised Jerusalem to Israel.
Remember, President, that the human rights movement has taken you on its shoulders to where you are now, but not only so you could become what you are today. Both civil rights and your own movements embody the hope that someday, all men will be recognized as created equal.

En otras entregas he referido a tareas urgentes que tenemos pendientes con respecto a los derechos humanos. Por ejemplo en una de ellas mencioné las protestas y represión en Burma. En otra hablé de Haití. He hablado de la China y Palestina y otros lugares donde la lucha sigue igual.
Ahora que Ud. Presidente, nos ha prometido tanto, quiero volver al tema, especialmente porque prometió Jerusalén enterita a Israel.
Acuérdase, Presidente, no sólo que la lucha para los derechos humanos le permitió llegar donde está ahora, sino que ambos moviemientos, aquel y el suyo, proponen que algún día se reconocerá que todos los seres humanos encarnemos las mismas expectativas y deseamos los mismos derechos.
